I have been lazy in my updating, though I have 3 different posts in progress none have yet seen the harsh light of the Internet.
Instead I have random musings.
This year is all about travel - or on broader terms - making lots of progress, "going places" so to speak.
So far this year my band is planning our EP, we have managed to find a great producer, and just the week before last got some air play on our favourite community rockabilly et al show. The show is Liquored Up and Lacquered Down and you can find the podcast of last weeks show here -

All very exciting, but on the personal front I'm planning lots of trips to places both new and old.
The main reason for this is that I told my boss my personal goal for this year was to travel and so he's sending me to lots of training and conferences, including Orlando! Hello Harry Potter World!
We'll see if that actually happens but either way there will be travel.
Starting at Easter where I'm taking advantage of all the public holidays and lack of school holidays to go up to Cairns for a writing break. This is mitigated by the fact that I have a jetstar voucher to use from the last trip to Cairns and despite claiming I will never fly with them again I am determined not to waste the voucher. In addition I have free accommodation up there so overall it is the cheapest way for me to have a holiday and use my voucher all in one go.
Mostly this week I'm excited about a Rockabilly class that I'm doing with my band on Sunday. It's only 3 hours but I fully intend that when we're done we'll look like this...
